Two months in advance from their departure date, scholars apply for Fulbright project clearance and visas with the Indian Embassy/Consulate serving their counselor jurisdiction.  Visiting lecturers and teachers apply for an "Entry Visa" and research scholars apply for a "Research Visa."  All official dependents apply for an "Entry Visa."

Note: The arrival of a scholar on a Fulbright grant is subject to obtaining project clearance and Indian visa from the Indian Embassy/Consulate and medical clearance.
